What's an AI Credit, exactly?

A credit is a unit of AI work — not a token. You spend credits on three things: Agent Runs (≈10 credits per record processed), AI Chat (≈2 credits per turn), and AI Background Tasks (≈5 credits per task). Heavier work costs more — deep-research agent runs and advanced models can run up to 25 credits per update.
Why credits instead of token-based pricing?

Tokens are a vendor-leaked unit — they change with model upgrades and make budgets impossible to predict. Credits are stable: an action that cost 10 credits in January will still cost 10 credits in December, even if we swap the underlying model. Your CFO can plan a year ahead.
What happens when I run out of credits?

Nothing — unless you've turned on top-ups. By default we hold frontier calls and fall back to fast models until the next cycle. Admins can opt into pay-as-you-go top-ups at $10 / 1,000 AI Credits with a hard monthly cap, so you can never get a surprise bill.
Are credits pooled across the team?

Yes — on every paid plan, credits land in one account-wide pool, so a quiet teammate's unused credits cover a busy one's overage. Scale and Enterprise add per-rep spend caps so admins can prevent any single rep from draining the pool. Unused credits do not roll over month-to-month.
What's the Startup Program — really free?

Really. If you're pre-Series A, under 50 people, and under 3 years old, your per-rep fees are $0 for 12 months and you get 50,000 AI Credits total for year one. After year one you graduate to standard Growth or Scale pricing — your data, pipelines, and config stay put.
Is there a free trial on paid plans?
